CHARISMA presented a demo at Broadband World Forum (BBWF) 2016 that took place from 18-20 October in London.
Ethernity has presented vCPE acceleration, the Charisma project and a demo.
The demo that was presented at BBWF shows vCPE NFV’s acceleration capabilities of Ethernity SmartNIC card. Three simple and not expansive CPE devices work in L2 mode only. All smart functions like DHCP Server, NAT, and Parental Control run at the Server. To present high performance and low latency, all forwarding functioned were offloaded onto SmartNIC.
