5G is foreseen as the key enabling technology that will provide high bandwidth communication services and will boost the development of machine to machine communications bringing us closer to an all connected world. Since 5G is still in early stages several questions must be answered regarding the possible drivers and barriers that must be overcome. By supporting virtualization and multi-tenancy, 5G will enable the creation of new business models leading to a new ecosystem that will extend beyond the traditional telecommunication actors and stakeholders. On the other hand, this aspect rises questions regarding security, integrity and data privacy. The workshop will try to identify both barriers and drivers that are related to 5G technologies.
